A car wash in the UAE typically costs between AED 25 and AED 150, depending on whether it's a basic exterior wash or a full interior-and-exterior detail clean. With QARO, a mobile car wash is starting from AED 55 (VAT inclusive) — the team comes to your home, office or parking spot and washes the car where it's parked.
How much does it cost to wash a car at home?
It depends on who does the washing. Doing it yourself costs your time — usually close to an hour for a proper job — plus water, a car shampoo, microfibre cloths and a wheel brush. The catch in the UAE is where you are allowed to do it: many apartment towers and basement car parks do not permit hose washing at all, and washing in a residential street is often not allowed either.
Having it washed at home is what QARO does: a technician comes to wherever the car is parked — villa driveway, tower basement or office car park — and washes it there starting from AED 55, shown in the app before you confirm. They bring their own water and power and use low-water products, which is why it works in car parks where a hose cannot be used. It takes about 45 minutes, and you do not have to be standing next to the car.
What affects the price
- Wash type: A quick exterior rinse-and-shampoo is cheapest; add interior vacuuming, dashboard care and glass for a full clean.
- Vehicle size: Large SUVs and 4x4s take more time and product than a sedan.
Mobile wash vs. drive-through
A drive-through is fast but uses spinning brushes that can leave fine scratches ("swirl marks") on the paint over time. A proper hand wash at your location is gentler on the finish and reaches the trim, wheels and door shuts a machine misses. Because the QARO team comes to you, you skip the queue and the drive entirely.
How often should you wash your car in the UAE?
More often than in cooler climates. Fine desert dust settles daily and, mixed with morning humidity and dew, can bake onto the paint in the sun. A wash every 1–2 weeks keeps the finish protected; after a sandstorm, sooner. Bird droppings and tree sap should be removed quickly because the heat sets them fast and they etch the clear coat.
