For a pre-purchase or pre-test car inspection anywhere in the UAE, QARO is the one that comes to the car in all seven emirates and can be booked 24/7: a 23-point check with an OBD scan and a road test, starting from AED 325 with VAT included. dubizzle Cars also inspects at the car in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, MySyara inspects at its garages in four emirates with a 100-point option, Tasjeel’s Comprehensive Test gives a certificate buyers and sellers recognise, and Fasttrack Emarat has walk-in branches. Only an authorised testing centre can issue the RTA pass for registration.
How we compared them
Every provider below offers a used-car or pre-purchase inspection on its own website, which we read on 9 October 2026 (dubizzle Cars on 6 October 2026). We compared where the car is inspected, which emirates are covered, what is checked as each provider describes it, and the published price. A higher point count is not always a deeper check, because providers count items differently. QARO publishes this guide and is ranked on the same criteria; where another provider is the better choice, we say so.

1. QARO: at the car, in all seven emirates
Book in the QARO app any time and a technician inspects the car where it is, so you never have to move a car you have not bought yet. The vehicle inspection covers 23 points, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, AC, airbag and ABS systems, an OBD scan of fault codes and a full road test, and takes about two hours. It is starting from AED 325, VAT included, the same in every emirate, with the price shown before you confirm.
2. dubizzle Cars: two inspection levels
dubizzle Cars’ QualityAssist sends inspectors to the car in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, Monday to Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm, or inspects at its two Al Quoz centres. The 120-point check is AED 369 and the 240-point check AED 569, plus 5% VAT.
3. MySyara: garage inspection with a 100-point option
MySyara inspects at its garages, where you drive the car in or it collects it, at the same flat price in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman. The basic 50-point check is AED 299, and the full 100-point check with an OBD scan, paint-thickness readings and a road test is AED 499.
4. Tasjeel: a certificate buyers and sellers recognise
Tasjeel, founded in 1999 in partnership with the RTA, runs 32 centres in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Its Comprehensive Test gives a certificate on the car’s condition that is widely used when buying or selling a used car. Tasjeel also runs registration tests. The Comprehensive Test price is not shown on its website.
5. Fasttrack Emarat: walk-in branches
Fasttrack Emarat offers pre-purchase inspections at 28 branches at or near Emarat and ADNOC service stations in Dubai, the Northern Emirates and Al Ain, open seven days a week with some branches open 24 hours. Walk-ins are welcome, and pickup and drop-off is offered. No prices are published.
Which one to choose
- The car is with a seller, in any emirate, or you need it checked in the evening or at the weekend: QARO, which comes to the car 24/7.
- The most items checked: dubizzle Cars’ 240-point check, or MySyara’s 100-point check with an OBD scan and a road test.
- The lowest published price: MySyara’s basic 50-point check at AED 299.
- A certificate to show the other side of the sale: Tasjeel’s Comprehensive Test.
- Registration or renewal: only an authorised testing centre can issue the RTA pass. Use a QARO inspection a few days before, to find and fix fail items first.
