For a car lockout anywhere in the UAE, QARO is the only service here that covers all seven emirates and publishes its price: a technician comes to the car 24/7 and unlocks it without damage, starting from AED 350 with VAT included. IATC also works in every emirate around the clock, Quick Fit Autos, ABCT and TRAC cover Dubai and some neighbouring emirates, and a locksmith such as DEX Key Maker is the better call when the key itself is lost or broken.

A child, a pet or anyone in danger locked inside the car, especially in the heat? Call 999 first.

How we compared them

Every provider below lists car lockout help on its own website, which we read on 9 October 2026. We compared what each one publishes: which emirates it covers, whether it works 24/7, how quickly it says it arrives, and whether it shows a price before you call. QARO publishes this guide and is ranked on the same criteria; where another provider is the better choice, we say so.

1. QARO: all seven emirates, price shown before you book

Open the QARO app, choose car lockout and share where the car is. A technician comes to the car, wherever it is in the UAE, and unlocks it without damage. The car lockout service is starting from AED 350, VAT included, and the exact price is shown in the app before you confirm, so there is no quote on arrival. The same app handles the jobs that often come with a lockout: a jump-start if the battery went flat while the doors were locked, or a tow.

2. IATC: UAE-wide roadside cover

IATC lists lockout service alongside towing, battery boosts and flat tyre changes, with more than 100 trucks across every emirate, 24/7. It does not publish prices on its website and offers membership plans, so it suits drivers who want an annual roadside plan more than a one-off call-out.

3. Quick Fit Autos: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman

Quick Fit Autos offers car lockout and car key recovery as part of its 24/7 roadside assistance in four emirates, and says it arrives in less than 30 minutes. Prices are by quote.

4. ABCT: Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi

ABCT lists lockout services with its car recovery and roadside help in three emirates, 24/7, and says it has more than 18 years of experience in roadside assistance. No prices are published.

5. TRAC: Dubai

The Roadside Assistance Company opens cars and retrieves keys locked inside, as part of its roadside services in Dubai. No prices or arrival times are published.

6. DEX Key Maker Dubai: when the key itself is the problem

DEX Key Maker is a locksmith rather than a roadside service. It handles car and boot lockouts in Dubai, 24/7, and says it arrives in 25 to 35 minutes. If your key is lost, snapped or no longer works, a locksmith who can make and program a new key is the right call, not a lockout service.

Which one to call

  • Keys locked inside, anywhere in the UAE, and you want the price before anyone sets off: QARO.
  • Key lost, broken or not working: a locksmith that makes car keys, such as DEX Key Maker in Dubai.
  • You already pay for roadside cover through your motor insurance or a membership: check whether it includes lockouts before paying for a call-out.
  • Anyone in danger inside the car: call 999 now.

Before anyone opens your car

  • Ask for the total price before they set off, including any night or call-out charge.
  • Ask how they will open it. A trained technician uses tools made for non-destructive entry, not force.
  • Have your Emirates ID and the car’s registration card (mulkiya) ready: a careful service checks the car is yours.
  • Share your exact location, with the level and bay number if you are in a car park.

FAQs

  • How much does a car lockout service cost in the UAE? QARO’s car lockout service is starting from AED 350, VAT included, shown in the app before you confirm. The other providers here do not publish a lockout price, so ask each one for a quote before they set off. See what a car lockout costs in the UAE.
  • Will unlocking damage my car? It should not. A trained technician opens the car with non-destructive entry tools; QARO unlocks the car without damage.
  • Does my car insurance cover a lockout? Some UAE motor policies include roadside assistance, and some of those include lockouts. Check your policy or your insurer’s app before you book.
  • What if my key is lost rather than locked inside? Then you need a new key made and programmed, which is a locksmith’s job.

Provider details are from each company’s own website, checked 9 October 2026: iatc.ae, quickfitautos.com, abctroadside.com, tracuae.com and keymakerdubai.com. Services and prices change, so check with each provider. QARO is not affiliated with any of them.
