Battery Replacement in the UAE

Two to three years for most cars, against five or more in a temperate climate — sustained 45°C+ ambient heat accelerates plate corrosion and electrolyte loss. Slow or laboured cranking, especially after the car has sat in the sun; headlights dimming at idle; the battery or charging warning light; electronics resetting; a swollen case or corrosion on the terminals; and needing a jump more than once. Any two together usually means replacement rather than a recharge.

If it has start-stop, yes — a standard flooded battery fails early under the charge cycling that start-stop imposes. Most 2015-onward European cars need AGM or EFB, and they also need the new battery registered to the ECU so the charging profile matches. The QARO app lists AGM batteries from Hankook and Solite for start-stop cars, and QARO does the ECU registration as part of the fitting.

Replace. A lead-acid battery that has lost capacity to sulphation or heat cannot be restored in any way that lasts, so reconditioning is not something QARO sells. What QARO does do is test before replacing — if the battery is healthy and the real fault is the alternator or a parasitic drain, the diagnosis says so instead of selling you a battery you do not need.

Yes. Every EV and hybrid carries a separate 12V auxiliary battery that wakes the car, runs the computers and unlocks the doors — it is not the traction pack, and it is the most common reason an EV will not start despite a full charge. QARO replaces it at your parking bay in the UAE. The high-voltage pack itself is manufacturer-only work.

It is taken away and recycled through a licensed UAE handler at no charge — lead-acid batteries are hazardous waste and cannot legally go in domestic refuse. The fitted price shown in the app already includes collection and disposal.
